You’ll Soon Be Able to “Login With TikTok”
TikTok announced its new Login and Sound Software Development Kits (SDKs) in a post on the TikTok Newsroom.
With the Login Kit, apps can give you the option to Login with TikTok, which is similar to the prompts that let you use Facebook or Google to log in to a third-party site. Logging in with TikTok will let you access or share your content, all while using a different platform.
In its post, TikTok outlined a number of third-party sites apps that already use the TikTok Login Kit. For example, Lolly, a friend-making app that labels itself as “Gen-Z’s Social Dating Community” lets you log in with TikTok and add your TikTok videos to your profile.
Also making use of the TikTok Login Kit is Streamlabs, a software that allows for seamless live streaming on Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube. By signing in to your TikTok account on the Streamlabs mobile or desktop app, you’ll be able to take advantage of all of Streamlabs’ best features for your live streams—this includes tipping and analytics.
The Sound Kit Brings More Music to TikTok
The TikTok Sound Kit will let users create music in other apps, and then share them on TikTok. So far, TikTok has partnered with Audiobridge, LANDR, Rapchat, and Yourdio, all of which are audio recording and editing apps.
If you want to try out the integration, you’ll have to first log in with TikTok on any of these apps, and then you can begin creating music and sharing them to your TikTok account. TikTok only offers so much when it comes to recording audio, and this new integration will make it even easier for you to share quality tunes.
“Through the Sound Kit and Login Kit for TikTok, we’re providing seamless integration solutions that help developers expand their reach, increase exposure for creators, and empower our community to showcase their content on other platforms,” said Isaac Bess, TikTok’s global head of distribution partnerships.
TikTok Becomes Even More Far-Reaching
For a fairly new app, TikTok has already made waves in the realm of social media. The Login and Sound Kits will only expand TikTok’s reach, as they both enable users to easily access the app from other platforms.
