Released in March this year, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a Dungeons & Dragons-style spinoff of Gearbox Software’s popular Borderlands series of looter shooters. Players take on the role of Fatemakers in a game of Bunkers & Badasses, fighting fantasy-themed enemies with strange new weapons and magical spells while traversing the map through an overworld that will feel familiar to anyone who’s played a tabletop game. The game has enjoyed mostly positive reviews thanks to its refined gunplay, satisfying progression and loot, and the freedom afforded by its multiclass skill system. Most complaints are toward the game’s DLC, which so far has been short and focused on replayability, rather than being substantial content additions.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will finally be purchasable through Steam on June 23 and will be available at a special launch price. People who buy the Standard Edition before July 7 will also receive the Golden Hero Armor Pack for free, which was initially exclusive to pre-orders and is now purchasable for $5 USD. The Chaotic Great Edition comes with the Dragon Lord Pack with an extra class, all four Mirrors of Mystery, and the Butt Stallion cosmetic pack. This includes the first two Mirrors of Mystery, Coiled Captors and Glutton’s Camble, along with the upcoming Molten Mirrors.
PC players will be able to transfer their save files from the Epic Games version to the Steam version if they wish, though they will of course need to buy Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and its DLC again to do so. The game will have a full collection of Steam achievements and crossplay functionality. Crossplay is available between PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store versions of the game. Transferring save files does not guarantee that certain Steam achievements will register, so Steam achievement hunters may need to start from scratch if they’re coming from the Epic Games version.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has had a solid reception from fans of the genre and of the Borderlands series, and exposure to Steam’s massive player base should be a major boost to the game’s community, especially since Steam players will be able to crossplay with gamers on other platforms. With more DLC on the horizon and a steady stream of updates to Tiny TIna’s Wonderlands, the future is looking bright for the game.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
